Since taking out the major gong at the BEA’s this year, I have been asked a lot of questions about our application. I battle a bit with the self-indulgence of the application process but the awards are a good thing and an important part of building strong business foundations in the community.
Nikki Richards commenced with Condamine Electric Company on the 17th November 2008, as our second female apprentice.
During this time we have seen her excel in both the workplace and with her electrical studies. When the opportunity arose to nominate her for the Downs Group Training Apprentice of the year, we were more than happy to reward her efforts and express our appreciation to her.
It was no surprise to us when Nikki went on to win the Downs Group Training Third Stage Apprentice of the Year. Nikki is an absolute pleasure to work with, with an easy going personality, which in a role that is typically a “mans” role is a great advantage for her to have. She is well liked by all her work peers and we have had very positive feedback from the tradesmen she works with, stating that she is attentive and proficient in all the areas of work she is asked to do. We have on several occasions had our clients commend Nikki’s communication, presentation and dedication to her job. She presents a neat and tidy appearance and work area and she always ensures that she tidies up after herself. She is exceptional in completing her paperwork and training reports.
We are proud to have Nikki on board with us and know that she will make a fine tradesmen one day.
